The WG reviewed the latest version of the Guideline “on future of marine radiobeacon DGPS-DGNSS“ which was an output of the IALA ENG15 meeting. Furthermore, the WG identified that there are existing IALA Recommendations and Guidelines related to radiobeacons which has to be considered. The WG propose to update these documents while developing the Guideline “on future of marine radiobeacon DGPS-DGNSS“ to get a consistent set of documents.
The WG is aware that the new Guideline shall especially give Guidance to administrations which are intending to discontinue or maintain the DGNSS service

ENG21. The committee discussed the proposal from Angela Barr about the work already performed within IMO CG2 in terms of the development of SBAS DFMC & ARAIM Performance Standard. In this case, it is presented the work plan and it is proposed to work also in the frame of IALA ENG WG2 to support this development. Now, Australia is working on a gap analysis by reviewing the reference documentation (IMO GNSS Performance Standards (GPS, Galileo, Beidou...), ICAO SARPS for SBAS DFMC, technical standards (MOPS) from RTCA/EUROCAE...) to identify those elements that should be considered within the IMO SBAS DFMC & ARAIM Performance Std. It is also mentioned that IALA documents could be also part of the documents to be reviewed for the gap analysis. Finally, the Committee agreed the scope of this activity match with the scope of this task. It is proposed to Angela to share the gap analysis with the Task Leader for the TG to contribute. Documentation should be uploaded in the related folder within the fileshare.
