Task Description :

This task is to support the development of a baseline eLoran System Specification and a process for its controlled evolution.

Compelling need :

Terrestrial radionavigation systems, of which eLoran is one, provide a complementary source of PNT to GNSS. With the increasing disruptions to GNSS, particularly through intentional jamming and spoofing, it is important to accelerate the development of alternative solutions.

O2 - Develop applicable international standards, recommendations and guidelines for adoption and use by its members and other relevant organizations or parties.

An input paper to ENG22 (ENG22-3.1.2.9) identifies a series of areas in which international harmonisation is required to support the successful adoption of eLoran for maritime users. This task is to progress on those activities identified as most relevant to IALA.
